Time to Start Over

Time to Start Over.  We all have times in our lives when we realize that things are just not working anymore. What once made sense, no longer makes sense at all.  Many times it means starting over to rebuild things exactly how you want them to be. Last week, I realized it was time to make CHANGES.  Some will be gradual, but there was one that had to happen right away. Although it was scary, I am so glad I did it.  Find out more about this BIG CHANGE! 

Humble Beginnings

In January 2009, Add a Little Dazzle was introduced to the world via the internet.  I had no idea where this would take me or what direction I would go.  As I look back, I am in awe and thankful to God for how far we have come.  

As we have grown, so has the internet world.  As a result, I have had to take a more active role in the maintenance and update of my blog.  Although it has been challenging at times, it has helped me grow in my knowledge of blogging and allowed me to truly create the site I want.  

First BIG CHANGE

Since the beginning of the year, I noticed that less of my subscribers were receiving Add a Little Dazzle Blog Updates.  After much research, I learned that Google Feedburner (our blog update delivery provider) will be shutting down.  Unfortunately, they have already begun shutting down with little or no notice to us.  While many of my subscribers are still getting updates, many are not.  

The truth is Google Feedburner took more than half my mailing list and made it disappear.  As a result, I have to start over with a new provider.  This means salvaging the subscribers I can and moving them over to a new site.  Then, rebuilding a list that took me years to grow.  

This weekend I moved my entire list over to Feedblitz.  Starting over was difficult, but I know that in the long run it was the best choice I made. Sometimes in order to take 10 steps forward we have to take a few back to get things in order.  This was definitely the case this weekend.
