Matters of the Heart
During the month of February, we are celebrating Matters of the Heart at Add a Little Dazzle. During this time, our goal is to share a kind word or act of love with somebody. As I was thinking of who to bless this week, my list grew longer and longer. Honestly, I felt quite overwhelmed quickly. What was supposed to be a blessing to others was about to become a burden to me because of the amount of work involved.
Not only did I have my own children’s and husband’s cards and gifts to work on, but now I had to make cards to bless somebody this week. How was I going to pull this off without feeling overwhelmed? Honestly, it kind of felt like Christmas all over again.
New Discovery
As I was working on my children’s Valentine’s Day gifts on my Silhouette, I had a burning question in the back of my mind. Would Add a Little Dazzle Craft Metal Sheets work on the Silhouette? Honestly, the idea of die cutting pieces with the Big Shot wasn’t appealing when I had lots of projects and very little time. This had to be fast and easy!
I started by purchasing a script sentiment at the Silhouette Design Store for 75 cents. After I downloaded it and resized it, I added a piece of Double-Sided Adhesive Sheet to the back of the Black Diamond Craft Metal Sheet and placed it on the cutting mat. To ensure that the piece wouldn’t move, I secured it onto the cutting mat with Washi Tape.
The BIG QUESTION now was if the Silhouette would cut through the Add a Little Dazzle Craft Metal Sheets. Would it jam my e-cutter? Would this work? Would this be the solution to my lack of time?

I was so excited and jumping for joy at my new found discovery. I have to be honest and say that my confidence as a card maker has grown.
