Amazing Time and Winner
Last week was an amazing time at Add a Little Dazzle and Lawn Fawn. There was so much excitement in the air and the feedback we received was AMAZING. Everybody loved all the projects. We all learned so much about how Lawn Fawn stamps and dies could be combined with Add a Little Dazzle Craft Metal Sheets to create some amazing projects. Thanks Kellie Marie for an amazing blog hop and for being so awesome when we met last month.
Add a Little Dazzle has chosen a winner for the Add a Little Dazzle and Lawn Fawn Blog Hop. The winner of a $25 Gift Certificate to shop in the Boutique is LUCINDE. Congratulations! Please email me at monica@addalittledazzle.com to claim your prize.
Bonus Tutorial
The metal embossed leaves using the Lawn Fawn Stitched Leaves Dies and Add a Little Dazzle Craft Metal Sheets was the talk last week. Everybody loved the wine charm holders and cards shared by all the designers. All this excitement got my brain working and trying to think of other ways to use these beautiful leaves.
I love candles and so it was a given that I had to come up with a way to use the Stitched Leaves Die on it. I wanted to do something different and so after searching the candle aisle the light bulb went off in my head. I found this simple, yet stunning Iron Candle Sleeve for under $5 and a NEW IDEA was born.
To begin, I die cut the leaves from Polished Purple, Outrageously Orange, Garland Green, Golden Glimmer, and Scarlet Red Craft Metal Sheets. Then, I colored them using Inka Gold in Green Yellow, Copper, and Old Gold. After it dried, the task to make it stick to the candle sleeve was next.
Magnetic Metal Embossed Leaves
I had a pack of Magnetic Buttons I have never used and decided to attach it to the candle sleeve to see if it would stay on the sleeve. To my amazement it stuck and I was so excited. I pulled out all my products and started having fun.
As you can see from the picture, I placed a drop of Hot Glue to the back of the leaf and attached the Magnetic button. Then, I just placed them wherever I wanted on my candle sleeve. The fun part is that you can create a bunch of different metal embossed pieces and give this as a gift that could be used year ’round. What a fun and unique gift!
Meanwhile, make sure to download your free pdf tutorial and order Add a Little Dazzle Metal Sheets in our Boutique.
