Why I Can’t Live Without Lovely As a Tree

Why I can’t live without Lovely As a Tree?  is the question I asked myself as I was going through my stamp collection. After thinking about it for a while, the answer came to me right away.  Not only is this stamp set a classic in the Stampin’ Up! Catalog but it is the most versatile stamp set in the catalog. This stamp set can be used for numerous occasions and is a must have in a stamper’s collection.

Why I Can't Live Without Lovely As a TreeLovely As a Tree is one of those versatile stamp sets that are perfect for numerous occasions. Throughout the years, I have found when I don’t have that perfect stamp for a specific project this stamp set always comes to the rescue. It has never failed me!  Due to the amount of different themes I can use this stamp set with and that it is gender neutral, I can’t live without Lovely As a Tree.

10 Themes This Stamp Set Works With

1. Masculine

2. Fall

3. Get Well

4. Thinking of You

5. Birthday

6. Christmas

7. Winter

8. Just Because

9. Congratulations

10. Sympathy

Last week, my husband asked me to make him a sympathy card for a coworker who lost his father. I was stumped as I didn’t know what stamp set to pull out. I didn’t want to use flowers as this card was for a man.  I also didn’t feel that some of the masculine stamp sets I had would work for a sympathy card and so I started dissecting my stamp collection.  Then, I found my Lovely As a Tree Stamp Set and right away knew this would be the perfect stamp set.

As you can see, I used the leaf images and stamped them with White Staz On Ink on Stampin’ Up! Window Sheets and placed it on top of Add a Little Dazzle Brushed Bronze Metal Sheet.  Then, I added Comfort Cafe Designer Series Paper to the bottom accompanied with Crumb Cake Card Stock and some Linen Thread.  To draw attention to the sentiment, I framed it with the Designer Frames Folder using Brushed Bronze Metal Sheet and then added another interesting background piece with Dark Rich Chocolate Metal Sheet using the Labels CollectionFramelits and turning the image in a different direction.   Then, to add a small touch of elegance I added some small pearls. Overall I am very happy with the card and what I was able to do with it using the Lovely As a Tree Stamp Set.
