Coffee Kitchen Art
Everywhere you go you see awesome coffee art for your kitchen. Honestly, I love all the pieces I see but there is just something special about creating your own handmade piece. I have been pondering this idea for quite a while now and finally jumped on the idea for this blog hop using Add a Little Dazzle Craft Metal Sheets.
I wanted to create this digital file in more than one color and so I chose black and red. I cut the pieces from Permanent Outdoor Vinyl and attached it to the aluminum side of the Add a Little Dazzle Craft Metal Sheet. It is important that you use Permanent Outdoor Vinyl so that when you start puffing out the metal the vinyl will not lift off.
Hand Embossing Technique
One of the greatest features of Add a Little Dazzle Craft Metal Sheets is that they are pliable. Yes, you can manipulate them and shape them any way you want. Our craft metal sheets are very easy to work with and with our Embossing Tool Kit and many of the tools you already have in your craft room you can create beautiful works of art.
To add dimension, I used the Deer Foot Refiner Tool found in the Ultimate Sampler Kit. First, I outlined each vinyl piece and once I was done I flipped it over, placed it on the suede piece, and used my Paper Stump to push out the metal through the back. This allows me to add a beautiful three-dimensional effect to the metal. Then, I filled in the back with Embossing Paste and allowed it to dry. This ensures that my image will not be crushed.
