How to Stay Healthy Even If You Love Eating Mexican Food. When you hear the term “Clean Eating” many people automatically assume it means eating bland, tasteless food. I love eating and cooking delicious meals and all of them are full of taste and I always have my family begging for more.  Today’s recipe will become a favorite in your home and your family will be begging for more and you can rest assured it is “Clean and Healthy”.  In addition, I will share an easy yet, elegant way of packaging this so you can give it as a gift for the Mexican food lover in your life.

Reading Labels

Recently, I started reading the ingredients found in prepackaged seasoning mixes and was surprised at what I discovered.  These packages are full of chemicals and preservatives such as hydrogenated oil, sugar, and unnatural coloring dyes to name a few.

In order to get healthy and stay healthy you need to closely read what you are putting into your body. There are 1,000’s of chemicals that are added to foods daily and the side effects will destroy your health.  Processed foods and the chemicals found in them are responsible for a lot of the sicknesses we face nowadays. It is shocking to see what the food industry is putting in our foods.

My family lived sick for 9 months out of the year for 10 consecutive years. Since eliminating processed foods and chemicals from our diet, we have not been sick.  We are now going on almost five months of being sick free and it is an amazing feeling to know we have our health back. The great news is YOU can too.

One of the things I love about “Clean Eating” is that you can eliminate all the processed food and chemicals out of your life and still eat delicious and nutritious food. Below I will share some tips with you for eating healthy while enjoying Mexican food, an easy recipe you can whip up in a matter of minutes, and a easy gift packaging idea.

Tips to Staying Healthy While Eating Mexican Food

1. Buy food that is raw or as close to its natural state as possible. This means fruits, vegetables, and organic meat.

2. Read labels and check everything you buy.  You want to make sure hydrogenated oils and other ingredients such as high fructose corn syrup are not listed as ingredients. This includes checking packages that have the word “organic”on them.

3. Make your own seasonings and skip prepackaged seasoning packages.

4. Prepare your meals at home as often as you can. This will allow you to control the ingredients that are added in your food.

So here is my version of Clean Eating Taco Seasoning Mix. It is “clean” and has no chemicals and you can enjoy it without fear of it negatively affecting your health.

This version is child friendly and you can add more spices if you like it spicier. Enjoy!
