Dazzling Diva Challenge #63
Dazzling Diva Challenge #63. What kind of mood are you in today? We all have those moments where our emotions are like a roller coaster. There are times when life just gives us more than we can handle and it sets the tone for our day. Lately, I have been feeling tired and overwhelmed with all the duties of juggling a business, home responsibilities, kid’s homework, and school activities. Then, after it is all done I sit back and reflect on my life and I realize how blessed I truly am. This month we have been focusing on “Matters of the Heart” and today’s challenge will allow you to truly express how you are feeling today.
Dazzling Diva Challenge #63: “Matters of the Heart” continues at Add a Little Dazzle and this week we have added a new challenge. It’s called a mood board. This board is a collection of different images that will allow you to interpret them according to your mood and how you see it. This is a new feature and we look forward to seeing your interpretation of this fun new challenge.
Mood Board Challenge or Anything Goes. Let this week’s image inspire you as you create this week. Then, make sure to enter our challenge. Remember, if you are chosen as the WINNER and you used Add a Little Dazzle Craft Metal Sheets in your creation, your prize package will INCREASE by $5 and I will add a BONUS PRIZE.

A few weeks ago I shared a card I made using this paper cup. Do you remember that post? I had a lot of exciting feedback on it as people were quite surprised how you could take a paper cup and turn it into a card. Did you miss that post? Check out the FROZEN CARD.
I am excited to share that I am back with another project today using this same paper cup. This time I have given it a completely different spin and am using a partial image to create a party favor fit for a princess. My youngest daughter loves Frozen and she will be four years old next week. She loves coloring and so not only would this be a perfect as part of a gift ensemble for her but to give as a party favor for her friends at school.
Frozen Crayon Box Holder
To create this party favor, I started by cutting the paper cup. Once I had it laid flat, I took a Round Circle Punch and punched out the image of Anna. This cup also has Elsa so I could also punch out that image to create crayon boxes with more than one Frozen Character.
Then, I went to the Silhouette Design Store and purchased the Crayon Box file and cut it from Stampin’ Up’s! Rich Razzleberry Card Stock. If you don’t have a Silhouette, not a problem. You can also create a wrap from the Rich Razzleberry Card Stock for the base of the crayon box.
The file I purchased, came with the top layer pieces for the box and so I placed Baby Blue Craft Metal Sheets on the Silhouette Cutting Mat and cut out the pieces. Before I did this, I applied Double-Sided Adhesive Sheet to the back of my piece and secured it to the cutting mat with Washi Tape.
Once all the pieces were cut, I embossed the Baby Blue Craft Metal Sheets with the Snowflake Cutting Plate, peeled the liner from the back of the adhesive sheet, and attached them to my box. Did you know you could emboss with Cutting Plates? Stay tuned. Instructional video coming soon.
Then, I simply placed the eight crayons in the box, tied the ribbon around the top, and hung the Anna tag from it. To add a special touch, I placed a Snowflake Charm I had on the ribbon. This is not only perfect for a party favor but as a gift for a princess.
My Inspiration
When I looked at the Mood Board, my eyes kept being drawn to the hearts. My children are my heart and everything I do is for them. Although there are days I am exhausted beyond belief, I wouldn’t have it any other way. I know one day they will venture out into the world on their own and I want to enjoy every minute I have with them.
My children love for me to create character party favors and gifts for them and so my love for them was my inspiration for this week’s challenge post. My baby will be four years old next week. Many of you shared my long and difficult journey of what I went through to bring her into this world. I can’t imagine my life without her or my other three children.
I invite you to visit the Children’s Party Ideas section here at Add a Little Dazzle. If you have a special party coming up and need help with Children’s Party Ideas, leave me a comment and I will give it a shot. I am looking for fun and creative ideas. I am up for a challenge. I have a Star Wars series in the works. 🙂
